Hammond Glass Products manufactures lead-free color glass enamels for a variety of glass coating and glass decoration applications. All lead-free chemistries are manufactured in our Hammond, IN facility. Hammond also produces lead and lead-free glass frits and inorganic pigments used in the manufacture of glass products. These materials are manufactured at our Pottstown, PA and Hammond, IN locations. Spandrel glass represents a major focus for Hammond Glass Products’ non-lead color glass enamels. This includes applications in appliances, architecture, retail displays, interior partitions and shelving, furniture and cabinetry, along with bath or shower enclosures.

The Hammond Group has been a supplier to the glass market for over 60 years with a variety of lead and non-lead based chemicals and glass frits. The more recent entry into the market for lead-free color glass enamel reflects the company’s commitment to supply green, more environmentally friendly specialty chemicals to the markets we serve. Hammond Glass color enamels are manufactured to our customer specifications based on a mutual understanding of their chemical and physical requirements. Formulations for a broad range of screen-print and roll-coat production conditions are available in a full spectrum of colors and effects, including opaque, transparent, semi-transparent and special effects such as a host of etched glass appearances. In addition to its lead-free products, Hammond Glass also continues to manufacture lead-bearing frits for glass color and other specialty applications.
